Project Overview

Why NVC Game?

Students and educators practising Non-Violent Communication in a classroom

Cultivating Peaceful Communities: Non-Violent Communication via Gamification (NVC Game) is a 24-month Erasmus+ cooperation partnership in school education, coordinated by Kastamonu University (Türkiye) with partners in Germany, Italy, Estonia, and Portugal.

Schools across Europe continue to face conflict, bullying, and breakdowns in communication. Many existing programmes lack engaging, age-appropriate formats that help young people practise empathy and conflict resolution in everyday school life. NVC Game addresses this gap by combining Marshall Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication framework with gamification and accessible digital learning.

The project develops six gamified NVC modules, a Moodle-based platform with AI-driven feedback, a companion mobile app, and teacher toolkits — all co-created with educators, piloted in classrooms, and designed for inclusive, multilingual use across partner countries.

Implementation follows a blended approach: in-person training and transnational meetings, iterative module development and pilots, structured feedback loops, and open dissemination of resources under Creative Commons licences where feasible.
